Important

Please refer to the section "Understanding Delay Management" below to better understand when the generate option is enabled.

Ranking snapshot at generation

When generating the tournament, player seeding is determined by their ranking at that moment. Any subsequent ranking changes will not affect the tournament draw.

Match-day ranking for points

Swiss Squash ranking points won or lost are calculated based on each player's ranking on the day of their match, not the tournament generation date.

Understanding Delay Management

The MySquash application manages the tournament lifecycle as follows:

Tournament Delays Timeline

  • Announcement period: the tournament is visible on MySquash but is not yet open for registrations
  • Registration period: the tournament is open for registrations By default, the registration period starts immediately upon tournament creation
  • Lock-in period: the tournament is closed for registrations By default, the "Lock-in" period is set 3 days before the tournament start date

Opening the tournament for generation

The generation of game brackets and match scheduling is only available when the tournament is in the "Lock-in" period The more you delay this "Lock-in" period, the less time remains to prepare the game brackets and inform players of match schedules
