Draw customization¶
By default, MySquash offers predefined templates to distribute players into draws. Customization allows you to manually compose the groups of a draw, choosing the format and size of each group.
Accessing customization¶
When generating a tournament, each category (draw) offers a predefined template selector. Next to this selector, a "Customize" link appears as soon as there are at least 2 registered players in the category.
Clicking this link opens the customization window.
Composing groups¶
The customization window displays:
- Top left: the number of groups created
- Top right: a progress bar showing the number of dispatched players (green) and remaining players
Adding and removing groups¶
- Click + at the bottom of the list to add a group
- Click the trash icon to the right of a group to remove it
The + button is only visible when there are at least 2 remaining undispatched players.
Choosing the format¶
Each group offers the following draw formats:

Available formats
Some formats are not available for all group sizes. Greyed-out buttons indicate unavailable combinations.
Choosing the size¶
Each group can contain 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 slots. This number includes any byes.
Adjusting byes¶
Byes (👻) allow you to fill a group when the number of actual players does not exactly match the draw size. Use the − and + buttons to adjust the number of byes in each group.
The number of actual players assigned to the group is displayed next to the player icon.
Applying the configuration¶
The Apply button is only active when all players have been dispatched into groups (the progress bar is fully green).
Upon applying:
- Draws are generated according to the chosen formats and sizes
- Players are distributed in ranking order: the highest-ranked players in the first group, then the next players in the following groups
