Key Concepts¶
Ranking Methods¶
The ranking system determines how teams are ordered in the league table. Multiple criteria can be applied sequentially to break ties. The most common approach is to use Points as the primary criterion, followed by tiebreakers like direct confrontation or match difference.
Calendar Generation Settings¶
The Encounter calculation and Exclusions parameters work together with the calendar generator to create optimized schedules. By defining the default interclub day and excluding specific dates (holidays, school breaks), the system can automatically generate conflict-free calendars.
Constraints¶
Setting proper constraints ensures realistic scheduling: - Limit the number of home matches per club on the same day - Account for court availability to prevent overbooking
Best Practices¶
- Configure ranking criteria that align with your league's competitive philosophy
- Set realistic exclusion dates to avoid scheduling conflicts
- Define court constraints accurately for each club
- Test calendar generation with different sorting parameters to find optimal schedules
