Renewing your license¶
Your license lets you play competitions in Switzerland. This page explains how to renew it in MySquash and how to choose the level that matches the way you play.
Three license levels¶
Each level includes the ones below it.
| Level | Tournaments | Interclubs | Mini-leagues |
|---|---|---|---|
| ★☆☆ Fun | Internal club tournaments and Fun tournaments | Fun interclub | Club mini-leagues |
| ★★☆ Regional | + regional tournaments (regional championships, club tournaments open to all players) | + regional interclub | |
| ★★★ National | + national tournaments (Swiss Championships) | + national interclub (NLA, NLB, 1st to 3rd league) |
The Regional level only exists in the regions that offer it, such as Squash Romandie. Swiss Squash clubs offer Fun and National.
A tournament states the license level it requires. MySquash checks the level you hold on the date of the tournament: a Regional license lets you enter a Fun or a Regional tournament, and a National tournament asks for a National license.
Renewing¶
- Open your Profile from the menu under your name. Its header shows your license, its level and how many days are left.
- Click the button below that header:
- Extend appears two months before your license expires;
- Renew replaces Extend once the license has expired;
- Buy is shown if you have never had a license.
- On the License renewal page, pick a Level. Each button shows its price for the season, and the What you can play panel lists the competitions it opens. Below the list, a box shows what the next level adds and for how much more.
- Check the Period and the Price.
- Under Consent, accept or refuse the use of your picture: one of the two answers is required.
- Pay with PayPal or by credit card. The new license is recorded at once and a confirmation e-mail follows.
Validity period¶
The new license starts the day after your current one ends and runs for twelve months. Renewing early therefore keeps every remaining day.
The new level applies from the first day of the new license
Choosing a higher level when you renew leaves your current license as it is. To play a higher-level competition before it expires, contact your federation.
Juniors¶
Juniors get a National license at a junior price; the youngest play for free. The renewal page shows the price that matches the player's age.
Reminders¶
MySquash sends you a reminder e-mail two months, one month and fifteen days before your license expires, then on the day itself, with a link to the renewal page.
A player without a valid license drops out of the Swiss ranking until it is renewed (see the FAQ).
